Summer Sports...

There's been a lot of activity with the McCullochs this summer. Here'a a preview...
Izzy had a week-long swimming camp at the high school. She was so excited about it that she wore her goggles in the tub for a week. Rinsed her hair out whilst blowing bubbles out her nose. Totally normal.
Izzy also advanced to Pre-Team at gymnastics which meant that she started going to practice twice a week. She got strong(er). Fast. She's advanced so much over the last few months that she now has made TEAM!!! Read: she will be competing this year! To say I'm excited is an understatement. So proud of her.
The third sports camp Izzy did was a cheer camp. The older girls (middle schoolers) loved Izzy and each night she'd come home with a new cheer to show us. Her final day I was able to come and watch her perform.
Temporary tatts. Go Shamrocks!
"Everybody do the Westfield Rumble!" My girl...she's a flyer like her mommy!
Our family participated in a walk/run for Lung Cancer to support Jason.
Fort Benjamin Harris
The park was ridiculous

And of course we've been spending lots of hours at the pool

Beer bike crawl with my favorites, Clint & Cari
Mikey swam his first open water swim in a few years. Two miles in about 45 minutes. We were so proud of him for many reasons this day. There was quite an unfortunate turn of events about a third of a mile to the finish. Let's just say Daddy Mike was a hero...and I'll leave it at that.
Cheering from the beach
Our little family took a week-long lake vacation so this meant I was able to drop-in at a few boxes. I love meeting new people and exploring new gyms. Tests me both physically and emotionally.

This little Bug finally learned how to swim sans floaties. Brave little fish she is.
Second competition of the summer, my first partner comp was 'Merica Games

Lora and I made it to the finals and finished 6th place overall. Those were some brutal wods and I'm proud of us!
Handstand push ups in the final...love me some gymnasty!

We hosted our neighborhood's 2nd bike bar crawl. Had twice the amount of folks join us as the last time.
My very favorite neighbor and close friend, Jess

Girls learning to swing

I spend my Saturday mornings at CrossFit Clay United and was able to pull my first sled in a wod for 1,200 meters. Puke. But I felt STRONG.
On weeknights we either hit up the pool or the Monon Trail for a walk. Love that this is right in our backyard so we can all be active together. It's been a fun summer of sports and such...leading and teaching our kids by example!
